Azerbaijani designer revolutionizes cycling
By Amina Nazarli
A young and talented Azerbaijani designer, Elnur Babayev, came up with a very useful concept for bike riders.
His invention “cyclee” might soon improve the daily routines of all sorts of road-users.
“Cyclee” is a projector designed for the safety of nighttime riders. It displays signals on the cyclist’s back, to warn oncoming motorists of his/her actions.
The device functions with the help of a special chipset, which can be edited wirelessly when inserted into the device. Projected signs can be modified via mobile application and then transferred to device.
The device is able to be mounted on most bikes, depending on the model.
Elnur received a bachelor’s degree in industrial design at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara Turkey in 2005.
Alongside his latest invention, Elnur also has several dozens of other patents such as Shakh, Polee, and E-Paper Google Maps among others.
