Subsistence minimum to rise
The subsistence minimum in Azerbaijan will reach an average of 70
manats ($83) in accordance with the 2008 draft state budget.
The figure will be brought to 79 manats for the employed, 55 manats for pensioners and 59 manats for children after the budget is approved in the Milli Majlis (parliament). The draft has already been submitted to the legislature.
