Azerbaijan, Austria mull economic cooperation

Azerbaijan and Austria have discussed the prospects of developing the cooperation in economic, trade and economic fields.
The discussions were held as part of Austria visit of Elmar Mammadyarov, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, who met with members of the Austrian-Azerbaijani trade chamber, members of parliament and business circles of the country.
During the meeting the sides mentioned the importance to develop direct ties between the business circler of the two countries, to develop mutual visits and business forums.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Austria were established in February, 1992.
The trade turnover between them amounted to $434.3 million in 2014.
The sides note ample opportunities for further development of relations between the countries in political, economic, energy and other fields.
