Azerbaijan, Bahrain ink military co-op plan

Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain received Zakir
Hasanov, the Azerbaijani Defense Minister, as part of the visit of
Azerbaijani delegation to Bahrain on December 25-27.
Addressing the meeting, Hasanov conveyed greeting of President
Ilham Aliyev to the King of Bahrain.
King Hamad, for his turn, asked the defense minister to deliver his
greetings to President Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijani people.
The King of Bahrain stressed the efficiency of reciprocal visits in
terms of strengthening the cooperation and experience exchange
between the two countries and nations.
The King said he supported the expansion of relations in
military and defense fields. The sides exchanged views on regional
and international issues.
During the visit, the two countries inked a military cooperation
plan as Hasanov visited Manama.
Under the plan, the two sides will speed up and expand military
cooperation.
Following, Minister Hasanov met Supreme Commander of Bahrain`s
Defense Forces Khalifa bin Ahmad Al Khalifa. They praised
Azerbaijani-Bahraini relations as friendly and also hailed
cooperation between the two countries` military authorities.
The Azerbaijani minister also visited naval and air bases, and
military medical institutions in Bahrain.
