Over 20,000 local observers registered for election
Over 20,000 local observers have, so far, registered with election
commissions to monitor the presidential elections to be held in
Azerbaijan on October 15.
This includes 20,000 observers registered with district election commissions with an additional 700 registered with the Central Election Commission (CEC).
Registration of local observers with the CEC will be completed ten days prior to election day, while registration with district election commissions will be completed five days before elections.
Seven candidates will stand in the presidential poll.
