US to raise visa fee
Persons willing to visit the United States will have to pay $131
instead of $100 to receive a visa starting on January 1, 2008.
The measure is due to the increase in expenses for taking
fingerprints, the spokesman for the US embassy in Baku, Johnatan
Henick, said.
This is the first time since 2001 that the United States has raised
the visa fee. Citizens of Australia, Japan and European Union
member states are enjoying visa-free travel.
