President Aliyev opens newly-built school in Baku (UPDATE)
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening of newly-built secondary school No. 23 in Baku on August 26.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the facility.
The president and his spouse reviewed the school.
At the end of the opening ceremony students staged an amateur show.
The president and the first lady also opened the Azerbaijan
Carpet Museum.
President Aliyev addressed the ceremony.
Speakers at the event included academician Teymur Bunyadov, carpet
weaving expert Mammadhuseyn Huseynov and director of the museum
Roya Taghiyeva.
They wished First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva a happy birthday.
President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva then reviewed
the museum and carpets.
