Azeri killed in Moscow blast
An Azerbaijani was killed and ten others were injured in an
explosion that rocked a Moscow restaurant on Thursday evening.
A group of Azerbaijanis were at the Artizan summer cafe commemorating their countrymen who succumbed to cancer. At about 10 p.m., an unidentified individual approached the cafe and threw a hand grenade inside, triggering a blast that killed 55-year-old Huseyn Karimov and injuring people nearby. One of the injured includes Galib Bakirov, a police major in a Russian Interior Ministry unit.
Additionally, a 32-year-old woman who was passing by was injured.
Investigators say the crime could have been an act of hooliganism or aimed to "settle scores" due to business disputes.
