The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Belarus are expected to hold consultations in Baku on June 19.
This news was announced by the Belarusian embassy in Azerbaijan on June 17.
The Belarusian delegation will be headed by country's First Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Mihnevich, while the Azerbaijani side will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, the embassy reported.
During the consultations, the two sides will discuss the bilateral relations, trade, economic, scientific and technical issues, as well as humanitarian cooperation. The meeting will also focus on improving the legal framework of the relations, as well as the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus in international organizations.
The consultations will be held as part of the regular dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
Azerbaijan and Belarus established diplomatic relations in 1993. Belarus is interested in increasing the capacity of Belarusian assembly plants operating in Azerbaijan, as well as implementation of new projects in construction, education, health, science and culture sectors.
The cooperation agreements signed between the justice ministries of the two countries in 1999 and 2012 during the Azerbaijan president's visits to Belarus made a considerable contribution to the expansion of mutual relations.
