The State Commission on Public Service under the Azerbaijani President and the Turkish Human Resources Department signed an Action plan on cooperation for 2014-2015 on January 23.
The document was signed by the chairmen of the state bodies within the Protocol "On cooperation in the development and support the management of public service between Turkey and Azerbaijan".
The action plan provides annual mutual working visits of Azerbaijani and Turkish representatives, the chairman of the State Commission on Public Service under the Azerbaijani President Bahram Khalilov said.
"During the visits the sides will examine the new approaches to the human resources management and reforms in this field. The sides will also exchange experiences on public service management," he said.
Khalilov went to say that after the analysis the problematic issues will be defined in the field of public service management and the sides will discuss them.
"The action plan also provides the organization of training programs and seminars, exchange of publications related to the development in the sphere of public service and human resources," he noted.
Turkish HR department chairman Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoglu said the leadership of both countries attach great importance to the cooperation in the public service management.
"We intend to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of public service. The various projects in development and support of public service management will be implemented," he said.
Kumbuzoglu added that admitting Azerbaijani citizens to public service in Turkey is being discussed.
"We are making every effort for Azerbaijani citizens to be admitted into public service in Turkey," he said. "We will continue mutual work in this direction. Turkey has a great need for health care personnel. Actions were taken to attract doctors on a contract basis. Azerbaijani doctors are working in the Turkish health system now."
He noted that a number of innovations in this sphere in Turkey will be applied in Azerbaijan.
