Czech Ambassador to Baku receives award

The Azerbaijan National NGO Forum has presented the international "Historical signature" award to Czech Ambassador to Baku Radek Matula.
Matula got the award and the Forum's honorary diploma for his services in development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic and recognition of the Khojaly genocide at the Czech parliament, as well as expansion of social ties between the two countries.
President of NGO Forum Rauf Zeyni presented the award to Matula.
Addressing the event, Matula spoke about the establishment of the Czech Embassy in Baku and development of the Azerbaijan-Czech relations.
Matula, who joined the Czech Foreign Affairs Ministry in 1993, took his duties as the Ambassador with residence in Baku from December 2009.
