Snowy and icy weather
By Nazrin Gadimova
Yesterday, the streets of Baku were powdered with snow and the roads were covered with a white magic veil.
You might say, well, snow is magic for some people, but for us it means the absence of public transports, traffic jams, a thousand other troubles, and, most importantly, cold and diseases.
However, it's actually turned out much better. People met bad weather with a good mood and warm clothes, and snow brought special happiness to children, because having a snowball fight with friends or making a snowman is great fun!
Contrary to all the predictions of pessimists about shortage of buses, they were running in almost all directions with amazing tenacity.
For extra romantic adults, snow was a gift of the sky as well; white magical snowflakes falling from the sky and settling on tree branches and rooftops. This picture is especially pleasant when you're sitting at home holding a cup of hot tea and delicious pastries in your hands.
To the great pessimists' delight, snow melted on the same day, giving way to slush on the roads, which, as you understand, is more unpleasant than the snow.
Today, temperature in Baku varies from 2 to 5 degrees above zero, and forecasters have promised north wind, partly-cloudy skies, and wet snow.
In Azerbaijan's regions, rainfall, slush snow, fog, and in some places eastern wind are expected.
Temperature will vary from 4 degrees below zero to 1 degree above zero during the night, and will be 2-7 degrees above zero in daytime.
Temperature is expected to drop 10-15 degrees below zero in mountainous regions, and 18-23 degrees below zero in daytime and 0-5 degrees below zero in the daytime in highlands.
In general, temperature in Baku will gradually rise until the end of December, reaching 12-13 degrees above zero in daytime and 7-9 degrees above zero at night.
Despite the cold weather, I wish our readers will be in a good mood and do not lose heart, because everything is in your hands, you only need to believe it!
