President Aliyev inaugurates Dada Gorgud Park in Baku (UPDATE)

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev officially inaugurated the Dada Gorgud Park in Narimanov district of Baku on December 13.
President Aliyev toured the park at the opening ceremony.
The Dada Gorgud Park occupies a total area of six hectares. The Park has a lake, a modern waterfall, and pedestrian bridges.
The Head of State also unveiled a monument "Kitabi-Dada Gorgud" which is erected in the center of the park. The monument has been made by Honored Artist Gorush Babayev.
Prior to the opening ceremony, President Aliyev met the
country`s educational and cultural figures and scholars.
The president also made a speech at the event.
Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, People's writer Anar, corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, professor Kamal Abdullayev, and Honored Artist Gorush Babayev thanked the Head of State.
The president praised the atmosphere created in the park.
