Death anniversary of Heydar Aliyev marked overseas

The 10th death anniversary of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev was marked in different countries of the world, AzerTag state news agency reported.
December 12 marks the 10th anniversary of the death of the architect and founder of the independent Azerbaijan, world-renowned politician, National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
In this regard, the United Arab Emirates hosted a seminar to commemorate the national leader`s memory. The seminar was largely covered by the country`s "Al-Bayan" newspaper. The article is available at http://www.albayan.ae/one-world/overseas/2013-12-10-1.2018005.
An event which was held inTajikistani capital, Dushanbe, also
brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, heads of
international organizations, intellectuals and other high-ranking
guests. MP Elmira Akhundova`s book "Heydar Aliyev. Personality and
time" was exhibited at the foyer of the seminar venue, as well.
The Azerbaijan`s embassy in Qatar organized a similar event in
Doha. Azerbaijani ambassador Tofiq Abdullayev spoke about the
national leader`s life and political activities, as well as his
role in development of modern Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Uzbekistan's capital, Tashkent,
also held a commemorative event. Opening the event, director of the
cultural centre, Samir Abbasov, highlighted Heydar Aliyev`s
political services in presentation Azerbaijan to the world.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev delivered a
speech at the event.
The Azerbaijani consulate general in Iran's north western Tabriz
city organized an event to commemorate the memory of Azerbaijan's
national leader, as well. Consulate General Ali Alizade spoke about
Heydar Aliyev`s role in implementation of regional energy
projects.
The Union of the Azerbaijani Youth in Ukraine organized an event in Kyiv. Chairman of the Union Anar Tahirov briefed the participants on Heydar Aliyev`s role in development and progress of the modern Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Paris also hosted a commemorative event. Opening the event, Azerbaijani ambassador to France Elchin Amirbayov spoke about Heydar Aliyev`s rich life and political career.
