Israeli businessmen show interest in Azerbaijan`s regions
Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz visited Zagatala region as part of his trip to north-west regions of the country, AzerTag state news agency reported.
The ambassador was accompanied by an entourage of embassy officials, representatives of AZPROM company, as well as experts on agriculture.
The delegation met head of Zagatala Executive Authorities Mubariz Ahmadzade, who praised the Azerbaijan-Israel ties.
He hailed national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in bolstering the bilateral relationship. Ahmadzade highlighted economic, agricultural and tourism potential of Zagatala, as well as employment situation in the district.
Rafael Harpaz said his visit aimed to learn the region closely.
He said Israeli businessmen were interested in further expanding relations with Azerbaijan`s districts in a number of fields, including agriculture, water supply, health and tourism.
The delegation visited must-see places in Zagatala, as well as tobacco and hazel factories.
