Azerbaijan's First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice President of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the opening of an orphanage-kindergarten after major overhaul in the Buzovna settlement of Baku on September 25.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the First Lady that the orphanage-kindergarten was built in 1976. The kindergarten is designated for up to 120 children.

The two-storey building was reconstructed under the "State program on socio-economic development of the city of Baku and its suburbs in 2011-2013".

The First Lady and Leyla Aliyeva also opened a new building of another orphanage-kindergarten in Buzovna.

The old building of the kindergarten was built in 1985. All conditions have been provided there for children. The kindergarten will handle up to 220 children.

The First Lady and Leyla Aliyeva also attended the opening ceremony of a new building for an orphanage-kindergarten in the Turkan settlement of Baku.

Mehriban Aliyeva was informed that the total area of the kindergarten, constructed on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was 6,000 square meters.

Various facilities, including a football pitch and attractions, have been set up in the orphanage-kindergarten. All necessary conditions were created there for the education of kids. The building also has a music hall, a sports hall and a swimming pool.

Mehriban Aliyeva and Leyla Aliyeva also attended the opening of a new clinic in the Turkan settlement.

The polyclinic has been provided with modern equipment. The two-storey building has 36 rooms, a lab, and a modern lighting system.

The First Lady also opened a new building of the orphanage-kindergarten No.285 in the capital city's Bina settlement on September 25.

The facility, which was built in 1985, was reconstructed with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Mehriban Aliyeva reviewed the cafeteria and the sports hall of the orphanage-kindergarten. The kindergarten will handle up to 220 children.
