Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan agreement on extradition important: minister

The development of cooperation between justice authorities was in focus of a meeting between Azerbaijani Ambassador to Bishkek Hidayat Orujov and Kyrgyz Justice Minister Almambet Shikmamatov.
The Kyrgyz minister stressed the importance of a bilateral agreement on extradition of convicts.
Shikmamatov hailed Azerbaijan's economic progress, describing it as a result of the policy set by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
The minister invited Azerbaijani businessmen to invest in Kyrgyzstan.
Orujov, in turn, said that Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are working together to strengthen their partnership in industry, trade, communications, transport and justice. He noted that Azerbaijan was interested in making investments in Kyrgyzstan.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan was established on January 19, 1993.
Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan in 2012 amounted to $ 8.6 million, or 34 percent less compared to 2011.
