President Aliyev receives Rosneft chief
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received president of Russian Rosneft company Igor Sechin on July 5, Azertag state news agency reported.
The Head of State expressed confidence that Sechin`s visit would open up good opportunities for discussing the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
President Aliyev said there were good opportunities for developing the bilateral energy cooperation, stressing the importance of defining new prospects for its expansion.
Sechin extended Russian leader Vladimir Putin's best regards to President Ilham Aliyev.
He said SOCAR was one of the largest companies in the region, noting Rosneft and SOCAR enjoyed successful cooperation on an international scale.
President Aliyev asked the Rosneft chief to pass on his best regards to the Russian leader.
The President said they discussed prospects for the bilateral relations in a recent phone talk with Vladimir Putin.
President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of expanding the bilateral energy cooperation.
