Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office denies reports on requests over ex-Georgian PM’s case
Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office has denied some media reports that the Chief Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has made requests for legal assistance in connection with the investigation into the case of former Prime Minister Vano Meribashvili.
"In this regard, we declare that the information is not true, and Azerbaijan has not received any inquiries or requests for legal assistance in connection with this matter," the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told Trend news agency.
The Prosecutor's Office once again recommends the media to check the authenticity of the information through the relevant state institutions, including the press service of law enforcement agencies prior to publishing.
