Azerbaijan's ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hidayet Orujov has met the country`s Minister for Emergency Situations Kubatbek Boronov.

Orujov said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is keen on cementing Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations, and the embassy takes every opportunity to realize the President`s instructions. The ambassador pointed out that there is enormous potential for cultivating cooperation in trade, information and communication technologies, transport, science, and education.

Minister Boronov hailed the fact that the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan is provided with modern equipment and highly-qualified personnel. According to him, the cooperation between the emergency ministries is expanding.

Boronov pointed out that the agreement on cooperation on civil defense and disaster response was signed during Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev`s visit to Azerbaijan in March 2012. The agreement is based on a draft plan for cooperation for 2013-2016 between the two countries' ministries.
