Presidential aide: Romania is Azerbaijan's strategic partner
Romania has strategic partnership with Azerbaijan in the energy sector, Romanian Presidential Counselor for strategic affairs and international security, Iulian Chifu, told journalists in Baku on Thursday.
He said the two countries are also building very good strategic relations in trade, transportation and investments.
According to Chifu, Romania supports peaceful solution of protracted conflicts.
"It goes deeper than strategic partnership, than energy cooperation," he said.
Chifu underlined that Romania also supported Azerbaijan in all international organizations, namely in NATO's Chicago summit, on the final declaration in support for territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of states.
