Less than 6,000 signatures remain to be collected for petition on Karabakh at White House website

Over 94,200 of the required 100,000 signatures were collected as of Monday afternoon under a petition posted on the White House website, which calls on U.S. President Barack Obama to include the issue on the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia and refugees and internally displaced persons in the agenda of the Congress.

The petition cites the long-lasting occupation of 20 percent of Azerbaijani territory by Armenia, four resolutions of the UN Security Council which have not yet been implemented, as well as hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs who are victims of the Armenian aggression.

The petition was posted on January 23. The voting will be continued until February 22.
