Azerbaijani Ombudsman’s officials meet with detained in unauthorized rally
Representatives of the Ombudsman's Office visited the detention facility of Baku Main Police Office on behalf of the Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova, Trend news agency reported.
The Ombudsman Office's employees met with persons detained during an unauthorized rally on January 26, got acquainted with the conditions of their detention and the treatment of prisoners, as well as with documents confirming the legality of their detention, the press service of the Ombudsman told Trend.
The detainees, Emin Milli, Abullfaz Gurbanly, Tunjay Guliyev and Turrkel Azerturk, did not express displeasure over their conditions of detention and their treatment, although they don't agree with the court's decision.
Management of the detention facility was given appropriate recommendations.
