President Aliyev participates in session on “A New Dawn for Central Asia” in Davos
The World Economic Forum`s session on "A New Dawn for Central Asia" has been held on Wednesday in Davos. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the session, Azertac state news agency reported.
The Azerbaijani leader addressed the event, which brought together officials of several countries, representatives of international organizations. The President spoke of the ongoing economic development processes in Azerbaijan. The Head of State noted Azerbaijan`s economy was developing dynamically, adding growth domestic product increased by 3 times.
President Aliyev spoke of Azerbaijan`s accomplishments in energy sphere. The Head of State also added development of non-oil sector was in the focus in Azerbaijan and many projects were being implemented in this sphere.
Touching upon diversification of Azerbaijan`s economy, President Ilham Aliyev spoke of the participation of his country in global economic and energy projects.
The Head of State also spoke about regional cooperation and other issues.
Then the Azerbaijani President answered questions.
