EU supports development of green economy in Azerbaijan
The European Union supports development of green economy and
alternative sources of energy in Azerbaijan, Federico Bern, the EU
representation's officer said at the meeting titled "Covenant of
Mayors - East" underway in Baku, AzerTac state news agency reported
on Wednesday.
Noting that Azerbaijan has made progress in the field of
environmental protection, Federico Bern said: "In the framework of
the Kyoto Protocol, Azerbaijan halved the emissions of
hydrocarbons, joined nearly 20 agreements on environmental
protection, implementing projects to improve the quality of
drinking water."
