Azerbaijani president congratulates Myanmar leader on independence day
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Myanmar President Thein Sein over the southeast Asian country's independence day, the Baku-based Trend news agency reported.
"Dear Mr. President, I am pleased to extend my sincere congratulations to you and all people of Myanmar on the occasion of your public holiday - the Independence Day," President Aliyev said in his congratulatory letter.
"On this remarkable day, I wish you strong health, successes in your activity and your friendly people peace and prosperity," the letter said.
Aliyev also expressed hope that the relations between Azerbaijan and Myanmar will continue to develop.
