FM: Russia to promote convergence of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict sides’ positions
Russia will continue promoting a convergence of the positions of the parties of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict together with other co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the 19th meeting of OSCE Ministerial Council in Dublin on Thursday, Trend news agency reported.
"We see no other options of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, except for the peace negotiations between the parties of the conflict," he said. "The co-chairmen's proposals on this issue are known."
Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The
co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, France and the U.S. -
are currently holding peace negotiations.
Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council's four
resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the
surrounding regions.
