Azerbaijan's first lady meets famous Turkish actress
Azerbaijan`s first lady, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva on Tuesday met famous Turkish film actress Turkan Soray, AzerTAc reported.
Prior to the meeting the Turkish actress watched a documentary on the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's activities and its projects aimed at developing the Azerbaijani culture and safeguarding the national cultural heritage.
During the meeting, Azerbaijan's first lady said Turkan Soray was beloved and respected by the Azerbaijani people very much. Mehriban Aliyeva called the actress a "living legend".
Mehriban Aliyeva said she was pleased to get acquainted with Turkan Soray.
The actress said she was happy to be visiting Azerbaijan, adding it was her long-standing wish. Recalling her first visit to Azerbaijan many years ago, Soray presented her newly published book on cinema to Azerbaijan's first lady.
