Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday accepted credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Turkey Ismail Alper Coskun.

Coskun expressed satisfaction with his appointment as an ambassador to Azerbaijan at a time when bilateral relations between the two countries had entered a path of rapid development.

The Turkish ambassador said during his tenure he would spare no effort to contribute to boosting relationship between the two countries even more.

President Aliyev said the second meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was held successfully. The Azerbaijani leader praised the results of the meeting held earlier this month.
