Azeri, Syrian FMs hold talks in Iran
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Muallem on Syria's initiative during the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Tehran, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday.
The ministers exchanged views on issues pertaining to Azerbaijan's non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council.
They also expressed mutual support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries.
Mammadyarov reiterated Baku's position on the developments ongoing in the Middle East, including Syria.
