Japanese, Italian to be taught in schools

Japanese and Italian languages will be taught at secondary schools in Azerbaijan starting in the next academic year, Education Minister Misir Mardanov has said.

So far, Azerbaijani schoolchildren took only Russian, English, French and German as foreign language classes.

``We will try [to make sure] that Japanese is taught in all schools, while Italian - in some schools,`` Mardanov said.
