Azerbaijan says not selling arms to Syria
Azerbaijan is not selling arms to Syria, Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev has said, dismissing foreign media reports to that end.
``The information about Azerbaijan being among the countries selling weapons to Syria is false,`` Abdullayev told the press.
Asked about the possibility of Azerbaijan`s recalling its ambassador from Syria after such moves from some other countries, the ministry spokesman said, ``For the time being, there is no such decision of the Azerbaijani government. But, certainly, we are closely following the situation in Syria and coordinate [our work] with our embassy there.``
