Youths picket Iranian embassy

Over a hundred youths protested outside the Iranian embassy in Baku last Friday over what they believe is the violation of the rights of Iran`s large ethnic Azerbaijani community and the neighboring country`s anti- Azerbaijan campaign.

The protesters chanted ``Shame on Iran``, ``Islam can`t be like this``, ``Iran is sending terrorists, drugs and extremists to Azerbaijan``, ``The rights of 35 million Azerbaijanis in Iran are being violated`` and other slogans. They also held posters saying ``the Iranian government sold Shusha to the Armenians``, referring to an ancient town located in the occupied Nagorno Karabakh region, and those showing photos of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. The police did not interfere with the protest.
