UN offers to set up int’l anti-corruption center in Azerbaijan
The United Nations proposes establishing an international center to fight corruption in Azerbaijan, UN Resident Coordinator Fikret Akcura has said.
"It would be reasonable to create such an international center in Azerbaijan, which would involve leading experts," Akcura told a conference on anti-corruption combat in Shamakhi Wednesday.
He said the UN was ready to provide the necessary support for the initiative.
A delegation of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), established by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Austrian officials and representatives of European Anti-Fraud Office are among participants at the conference.
