Aliyev to attend consultations with NATO in Belgium
President Ilham Aliyev has left for Belgium to attend regular Azerbaijan-NATO consultations, which are due on Wednesday.
President Aliyev is scheduled to meet with the alliance’s Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the NATO press office said. Discussions will focus on bilateral relations and Azerbaijan’s commitments under the Individual Partnership Plan (IPAP).
Such consultations are held annually. Last year, the Azerbaijani delegation was headed at the negotiations by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
