44 pct of Azeris use Internet: study
44.1 percent of people in Azerbaijan use the Internet, according to a report released by the Internet World Stats website.
Azerbaijan is ahead of Russia (43 percent), Kyrgyzstan (39.3 percent), Kazakhstan (34.1 percent), Ukraine (33.9 percent), Moldova (30.9 percent), Georgia (28.3 percent), Uzbekistan (26.8 percent), Tajikistan (9.2 percent), and Turkmenistan (1.6 percent).
The South Caucasus republic is behind Estonia (75.7 percent), Latvia (68.2 percent), Lithuania (59.5 percent), Armenia (47.1 percent), and Belarus (46.3 percent).
At the top of the rankings are Iceland with 97 percent, Norway with 94.4 percent and Sweden with 92.4 percent.
