Azeri opposition plans protests
The Public Chamber, an Azerbaijani umbrella opposition group, decided to launch anti-government protests at its meeting held on Wednesday.
Adalat Yusibov, a member of the Chamber’s steering body, said pickets and flash-mob events are planned for February. Date and venue of the protests have not yet been determined.
The opposition group, established in late 2010 by main opposition parties and political figures, has held several unsanctioned protests so far.
