Graeme Wilson’s book about Azeri president presented
The book "President of Azerbaijan: his struggle for peace and look into the future" was presented in Baku on Thursday.
At the presentation ceremony the author said that over the last 8 years President Ilham Aliyev and his government have achieved great successes together in international level, as well as in social and economic spheres in the country.
Wilson said that during his meeting with President Aliyev he asked when Azerbaijan's territorial integrity will be restored. "He said this problem will be addressed soon, during his presidency," Wilson stressed.
Addressing the ceremony, Rector of Bilkent University Ali Dogramaci stressed the need to translate the book into the Azerbaijani language. He said the moments covered by the book are of great interest for the Azerbaijani society.
At the ceremony Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin said that half of 500 pages of the book is dedicated to the national leader Heydar Aliyev. "There is nothing surprising here. It would be impossible to establish the country without Heydar Aliyev's determination," he said.
The U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza also attended the presentation ceremony. He said the book fully covers the current President Ilham Aliyev and former President Heydar Aliyev's life.
He said Ilham Aliyev achieved diversification of the country's economy during his presidency.
