Azeri FM, Polish MP discuss ties
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with former Polish counterpart, member of the Polish Sejm Anna Fotyga, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
Mammadyarov said that the relations between Azerbaijan and Poland are at a high level and there is great potential to develop and intensify the existing ties.
The importance of inter-parliamentary relations and parliamentary diplomacy was stressed.
The direct contact with members of the parliament will push the development of existing relations between the two countries in politics, economy and culture, Mammadyarov said.
The parties also discussed the state of the Polish economy, the relations between Poland and the EU and the relations between Poland and the countries of the region.
Mammadyarov informed her about the measures taken to resolve the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
