Azerbaijan gets low EIU ranking on democracy
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has rated Azerbaijan 140th on the level of democracy in a report, claiming it is one of the countries with authoritarian government.
Georgia and Armenia, Azerbaijan’s neighbors in the South Caucasus region, were termed as "hybrid regimes", ranking 102nd and 111th respectively in the British research group’s report assessing 165 countries and two territories.
