Azerbaijan will also focus on joint activity within international organizations, cooperation with other countries and international groups and collaboration as part of the GUAM parliamentary assembly.
Baku also aims to facilitate economic and business cooperation among the member states, develop their transport corridors, as well as plans cooperation in a variety of fields including energy security and alternative sources of energy, communications and ICT, nanotechnologies, tourism and science.
The decision to transfer GUAM chairmanship to Azerbaijan from Moldova from next year was passed at a meeting of the group’s foreign ministers in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius last Wednesday.
