211 Azeris charged with graft this year
Azerbaijani Prosecutor-General's Office anti-corruption department sent 128 criminal cases on 211 persons to courts in January-November, the Prosecutor-General's Office said in a statement on Friday.
The people who will stand trial are charged with such crimes as bribery, illegal interference with government officials’ decisions, abuse of power, embezzlement, and fraud.
The statement also said investigation is underway under 83 criminal cases on corruption-related charges.
