President orders to draft 10-year development outline
President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday enacted a decree to develop a concept on Azerbaijan’s development until 2020.
The Presidential Administration was authorized to oversee and coordinate drafting of the concept. The Presidential Administration is to submit the document to the president for approval by the end of 2012.
It was also tasked with drawing relevant state bodies, scientific institutions and highly skilled specialists to the drafting of the concept in order to avail of advanced international experience. President Aliyev also ordered his administration to undertake measures aimed at effective cooperation with the UN Development Program and other international organizations, as well as ensure the participation of civil society institutions in the process and open discussions of the concept.
