Caspian states’ border services to hold joint exercises
Border services of the Caspian littoral states - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Iran - will conduct joint exercises, a Russian Federal Security Service official has said.
"Talks with the heads of all five countries' border services will be held in Moscow in the near future," Col.-Gen. Nikolai Lisinsky told journalists in the Azerbaijani capital Baku.
According to him, Moscow plans to go beyond the existing format of exercises between the Russian and Azerbaijani border services and draw the other three coastal nations to the drills.
