Group of Armenian saboteurs seized
A group of Armenian special troops trying to stage subversion on
Azerbaijani soil has been detained by local law enforcers.
All four members of the gang were detained in a counter-operation by Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry officers.
The ministry spokesman Eldar Sabiroghlu said the criminals had admitted to a number of facts during a preliminary questioning.
Yerevan has confirmed the detention of the group, but claimed that the detained individuals were not military men but civilians. The spokesman for the Armenian Defense Ministry, Seyran Shahsuvarian, said the four had gone to call on their fellow servicemen at a military unit in rural areas, got lost on their way back and accidentally crossed over to the territory of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
