Prominent US analyst gets post at Azeri academy
Well-known US political analyst Paul Goble has been appointed
director of research and publications at the Azerbaijan Foreign
Ministry's Diplomatic Academy. Goble has already embarked on his
duties, the ministry told AssA-Irada.
In the early 1990s, Goble made a proposal to grant the Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh region and Lachin district of Azerbaijan to Armenia, while the Armenian Mehri district - to Azerbaijan. The initiative was called the "Goble Plan".
Goble served in various capacities in the US State Department, the Central Intelligence Agency and the International Broadcasting Bureau.
