Azerbaijan to open embassy in Brazil by year-end – official
Azerbaijan will open an embassy in Brazil by the end of 2011, the Azerbaijani foreign minister told journalists Wednesday.
Elmar Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan’s influence has been increasing in Latin America countries.
"Establishing close cooperation with the countries in Latin America is very important for us," he said, adding that these countries take interest in Azerbaijan as well.
So far, the South Caucasus republic has opened diplomatic missions in two countries in the region - Mexico and Argentina.
