Armenian troops launch drills in Azeri occupied land
Armenian armed forces have launched large-scale military exercises in the occupied Azerbaijani territories, reports say.
Heavy artillery and other weapons are being used in the drills, which started on Monday morning in the occupied parts of Azerbaijan’s frontline Aghdam region, Azerbaijani media reported.
Armenian troops have repeatedly staged military drills in the occupied land in the past.
20 percent of Azerbaijani territory has been occupied by Armenian troops since a 1990s war. Peace talks brokered by US, Russian and French mediators have been largely fruitless so far.
