EU seeks to up its role in Karabakh resolution
European Union Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule has said the EU will gradually increase its role in addressing regional conflicts such as Nagorno Karabakh or Transdniestria, Russian Interfax news agency reported.
"We are launching the program on restoration of confidence in those regions, and will undertake a more serious role in addressing these issues," Fule said at a Yalta meeting entitled "Ukraine and the World: Common Challenges, Common Future," last Saturday. "But, of course, we will not totally change the scope of solutions to these problems in a day."
