Ahmadinejad says Iranian-Azeri relations are immutable
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that "no factor is able" to affect Iran’s fraternal relations with Azerbaijan, local news agency Mehr reported.
During a speech in the Parsabad city located on the Iranian-Azerbaijani border, Ahmadinejad said that as a friendly country, Iran supports the independence of Azerbaijan.
"We are interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan in the borderline regions and expanding joint activities at border checkpoints," he added.
